Beyond his political pursuits, Dan is a celebrated travel and food writer, documenting his culinary adventures on his blog. In early 2020, he showcased his culinary talents on the Food Network’s “Dishmantled,” winning $5,000 for his delectable Chicken and Waffles, judged by luminaries like Tituss Burgess, Marcus Samuelsson, and Michael Che. Dan is an avid traveler, gaining valuable insights into diverse cultures, governments, and political attitudes through his journeys. His most cherished destinations include Venezuela in 2022, Greece in 2021, and Argentina in 2024. Through his travels, he continues to share his passion for good food and meaningful dialogue with his audience.
In addition to his blogging and political activities, Dan serves as the Chair of the American Wine Society’s Philadelphia Chapter, known as the Cork Dorks, which hosts monthly wine tasting and educational events. Currently, he is pursuing certification as a holistic nutritionist, driven by his commitment to nutrition and transparency within the food industry.
