Dan DuPraw lives in South Philadelphia, and has been immersed in the world of politics since childhood, vividly recalling the thrill of filling out electoral college maps during presidential elections at the tender age of twelve. His passion for civic engagement led him to volunteer on numerous political campaigns, striving to elect politicians who share his vision for a better America. Most recently, Dan volunteered on the judicial campaign for Greg Yorgey-Girdy, the first gay, Black judge to be elected in Philadelphia. Driven by a profound belief in freedom and common sense, Dan has launched this blog to promote unity and bipartisanship in a polarized landscape. He stands firmly against extremism on both sides of the aisle, advocating for collaboration to achieve meaningful progress. Beyond his political pursuits, Dan is a celebrated travel and food writer, documenting his culinary adventures on his blog. In early 2020, he showcased his culinary talents on the Food Network’s “Dishmantled,” winning $5,000 for his delectable Chicken and Waffles, judged by luminaries like Tituss Burgess, Marcus Samuelsson, and Michael Che. The show is now available to stream on Roku. Dan is an avid traveler, gaining valuable insights into diverse cultures, governments, and political attitudes through his journeys. His most cherished destinations include Venezuela in 2022, Greece in 2021, and Argentina in 2024. Through his travels, he continues to share his passion for good food and meaningful dialogue with his audience. In addition to his blogging and political activities, Dan serves as the Chair of the American Wine Society’s Philadelphia Chapter, known as the Cork Dorks, which hosts monthly wine tasting and educational events. Currently, he is pursuing certification as a holistic nutritionist, driven by his commitment to nutrition and transparency within the food industry.
